Due to the presence of a variety of vehicle monitoring terminal in the use of the vehicle, the vehicle monitoring system cannot exchange data and the format of instruction is not compatible, which is very inconvenient to managers and causes a waste of investment,so that it is necessary to develop a prospecting vehicle monitoring system which can integrate all kinds of vehicles and terminals, monitor them dynamically and in real time, standardize the driver operation, reduce the occurrence of vehicle accidents and finally improve the efficiency of geophysical exploration. The new system consists of three main parts: vehicle terminal, monitoring center server and vehicle monitoring client.Firstly, vehicle terminal consists of various types of vehicle monitoring devices. We count the types of vehicle monitoring devices that are used in seismic crew domestic and abroad and analyze their transmission type, data format and order set.Secondly, monitoring center server consists of monitoring service software and the database. We select the SQL Server database for each device to establish a corresponding table, analyze the received positioning data and then store them in a unified table structure. We also develop the server software, which is responsible for receiving different communication data,i.e.analyzing,processing,classifying and storing the data, and then backup the valid data to center database for clients.Thirdly,we develop client software, which receives vehicle information, including position, speed, warning statue and direction, from the center server. The client software uses the eHotGIS as the GIS map platform and display the received information on the terminal to realize the vehicle real-time monitoring, alarm, query and analysis functions.
