This thesis written with the stable development of Singapore's construction market as the background, In the face under the influence of local industrial upgrading, productivity improvement and foreign labor policy tightening, the environment of enterprise development becomes more complex, the market competitive is fierce increasingly, uncertainty greatly increased. construction companies have to consider how to adapt to external changes and to maintain sustained growth?The thesis aims at analysis of Shimizu corporation Singapore branch as a research object, refers to Michael Porter's competitive strategy theory as the main basis, According to identify problems, analyze problems and problem-solving research ideas; Firstly through the use of PEST, five forces model and other strategic tools to analyze firm's internal and external environment, combined with industry characteristics, to identify the keyinternal and external factors; Secondly, using analysis tools such as SWOT matrix, grand strategy matrix, quantitative planning analysis to make out Reinforcement strategy and Backward integration strategy as the company's overall development strategy. So that Develop a competitive strategy of ambiguity; Finally, with the actual situation of enterprises to make the safeguard for the implementation of strategy from five aspects which consists of Strengthen the overall program design and construction drawing design capabilities, strengthening of new materials, new technology research and development applications, enhance corporate image promotion,Strengthening the capacity of market research and information gathering and strengthen human resource development.
