Nowadays, China is just in the transforming period, enterprises are facing severe market environment, the competition between enterprises is increasingly fierce. As an important resource to improve the core competitiveness of an enterprise, human capital plays a vital role. As the baton of employees' behavior, performance appraisal has been applied in different organizations and has a profound impact on employees' attitude and behavior. However, there is merely research on employees' performance appraisal issues reaction currently. EVLN behavior mainly integrates exit, voice, loyalty, neglect and related behavior, is a more mature behavioral response framework and thus provides a new perspective.The present study mainly examines the influence of performance appraisal purposes and employability on employees' exit, voice, loyalty and neglect behavior. First, the dissertation reviewed the existing theory and research, then put forward the whole research model and related hypotheses. Then, using questionnaires to collect data. On the basis of the 373 longitudinal dyads samples, the hypotheses are tested through the statistical software of SPSS and AMOS. The results indicate that there are significantly positive relationships between developmental performance appraisal and employee loyalty as well as voice behavior, however, negative relationships between developmental performance appraisal and exit and neglect. The study finds that there are significantly negative effects of evaluative performance appraisal on employee loyalty, voice and exit, while there is positive effect of evaluative performance appraisal on neglect. Furthermore, the findings also show that the hypotheses about the mediating role of employability in the associations between developmental and evaluative performance appraisal and employee loyalty, voice and exit behavior are supported, however, the mediating effect of employability between performance appraisal and neglect is not significant.This study reveals the black box between performance appraisal purposes and employee' attitude and behavior, provides suggestions in theory and practice for the managers in the field of enterprise's human resource management.
