The Study On Evaluation And Influencing Factors Of Farmers' Agricultural Investment Efficiency In China

"Three rural issues" has always been paid much attention to by the party and the country. In order to achieve more and more agricultural products, increase the output of agriculture and make the lives of farmers better, they have introduced a variety of preferential agricultural policies. Aiming at this problem, the academia begin to study agriculture from the efficiency of investment and have achieved certain results. However, most of the studies are carried out around the government's agricultural investment efficiency, and there are not so many results of the farmers' agricultural investment efficiency. Farmers are the most important agriculture investment subject in our country, thus the topic of this paper has important practical significance.The main purpose of this paper is to make clear of the agricultural investment efficiency of the farmers in general and the area difference. Then find out the main factors influencing farmers' agricultural investment efficiency, and put forward corresponding suggestions to improving household agricultural investment efficiency. To achieve this goal, this article draws on previous research mode of the government's agricultural investment efficiency and analyses the current situation and characteristics of agriculture investment firstly. Secondly, it introduces the main research methods of the efficiency of investment in agriculture. On this basis, a regression model is established with simple modifications of the Cobb-Douglas production function. By manipulating the collected panel data of China from the year 2003 to 2014 with Eviews software, we acquire the average level of the farmers' agricultural investment efficiency. Then, by introducing dummy variables and the use of sub sample regression method, we find that agricultural investment efficiency is not high and there exists obvious regional differences. So we divide the whole country into three areas of Eastern, central and western and study their characteristics of agricultural investment efficiency respectively. According to the results of empirical research,the fourth chapter discusses the factors leading to the not high overall level of efficiency of China's agricultural investment of farmers and obvious regional differences. Maybe it's influenced by the change from agricultural sources of investment funds, agricultural policy, rural population and rural household income. Finally, we give some suggestions to improving the agricultural investment efficiency. Reducing the cost of agricultural production, increasing farmers' income, expanding financing channels to ensure the necessary funds for agricultural production, establishing and consummating the insurance system of agricultural investment as well as the social service system for agricultural production, evacuating rural surplus labor force, all of these are included.This paper studies farmers' agricultural investment efficiency. It enriches the research results of agricultural investment and has certain practical significance for guiding farmers' agricultural investment. Meanwhile it gives some policy recommendations for the government.
