Research On The Supply Chain Process Optimization Of CNH Agricultural Machinery Projects Localization

For a long time, our country has always attached great importance to the "three rural" issue, and the level of agricultural mechanization is an important technical support for national agricultural economic development. Imported brands agricultural machinery realized production in China was already an inevitable trend in the globalization of production. As well as international agricultural brands companies achieved a necessarily decision on advantaged share in China this huge potential market. American company John Deere has established joint venture and wholly owned corporation to do the localization of large combine harvester in the 1990 s in Jiamusi City Heilongjiang Province. CNH not resigned to playing second fiddle, in 1996 to 1999 layouted Sales Corporation to enter China market. But the rhythm lags of "domestic production" achievement fell behind rivals more than a decade in China. CNH agricultural machinery localization also starts from zero, and meets many challenges and problems. The most critical aspect in localization is about Chinese suppliers how to meet CNH's strict quality management system, and how the delivered products can fulfill CNH's requirements.This dissertation is based on the background of the imported agricultural machinery localization projects, and analyses CNH company current situation from projects starting to project in development and late stage. This thesis focuses on the supplier management, procurement cost control, parts delivery timing tracking, parts quality control and other aspects. The suppliers' base of China's agricultural machinery industry is weak. Parts delivery delayed, and parts quality problems occur frequently. While due to CNH lacks of localization production experience, there are lots of problems during procurement and supply chain process. This thesis proposes optimization solutions and mainly focuses on suppliers, costs, parts delivery tracking and parts quality controlling aspects. During scheme implementation, the steps are develop potential suppliers as strategic partners, costs reduction, modify part quality review process and logistics tracking parts production and delivery with SQE together. Steps are also including other series of practical measures to achieve the purpose of optimizing the supply chain process. Then CNH will reduce costs in new localization project production, and the production carries out more smoothly.
