Research On The Implementation And Application Of ERP System In Small And Medium-sized Enterprise

Economic globalization continuously accelerated since entering the 21 st century. To seek subsistence and development in increasingly severe competition, Chinese enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises must endeavor to improve self management level. Improving enterprise management level and management efficiency via the implementation of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system is one of the effective methods.Targeting at the process of implementing ERP by small and medium-sized enterprises and existing problems, this paper conducted in-depth analysis from process and case. The full text consists of four chapters. Chapter I introduced the development process and research status of ERP system, elaborated the basic principle and model of order point method, MRP and ERP, and analyzed and pointed out the deficiency of order point method in actual application. Chapter II presented the preparatory work before the implementation of ERP system and the detailed procedure of implementation process, analyzed implementation highlight and personnel allocation in each stage, and put forward the problems that may occur in the process of implementation and corresponding solutions. Taking the implementation and application of ERP of Company C as case, chapter III analyzed the relations between ERP system implementation and enterprise process improvement. It is found via comparison that enterprise management level obtained remarkable improvement after implementing ERP. Combining with the problems met by Company C in the implementation of ERP, chapter IV summarized the key problems needing attention in the implementation of ERP by small and medium-sized enterprises, thereby providing reference and guidance for similar enterprises to implement ERP system.
