The Game Analysis Between Energy Using Companies And Energy Service Companies In Energy Performance Contracting

As a critical energy-saving mechanism in present modern society, Energy Performance Contracting(EPC) has a great potential to promote the national energy strategy and build sustainable development society. The relationship between the stakeholders in EPC will directly affect the successful implementation of energy-saving and renovation projects.The purpose of this dissertation is to study how Energy Using Companies(EUCOs) and Energy Service Companies(ESCOs) choose their strategies to make their maximize profits. We also try to find the cooperation obstacles of these two companies and propose strategies to realize the win-win cooperation in EPC. Firstly, exhaustive previous literatures about EPC were analyzed. Through employing single static game and repeated game analysis with fixed or non-fixed number of participants respectively, results indicated that if these two participants selected sincere cooperation, all of them would pursue maximization benefits in these two kind of game analysis. The findings presents that the healthy development of the energy conservation service industry needs both ESCOs to enhance their ability of repeated game, but also to establish a perfect market mechanism to create the market environment. The dissertation provides references and guides for the relevant departments with how to support the development of EPC and further realize the emission of energy-saving reduction.
