With the coming of a new era of knowledge economy, the important role of knowledge is gradually to be appreciated by people, especially attracted a large number of multinational companies attention to the huge boost between intellectual capital and business performance. On the one hand, knowledge is regard as a a kind of strategic importance resource o, is gradually replacing the traditional factors of production,such as capital, labor and land,became the source and motivation of the core competitiveness of enterprises and the creation of value. On the other hand, multinational companies as a corporate pioneer, has a unique advantage, for example, well-funded, large-scale, advanced technology.Thus, more and more multinational companies chose to adapt the knowledge economy era, the company began to focus on the development, management and use of intellectual capital, enabling companies to create a competitive advantage, improve business performance, growing purposes.The main work of this study are:Firstly,study the current research about intellectual capital and business performance, while at the same time collating and studying of the previous study in-depth,in order to determine the purpose and significance of this study. Secondly, based on the core competence theory, resource-based theory, stakeholder theory, the theory of enterprise capability, integrating of intellectual capital,and then respectively from the human capital,relational capital and structure capital three aspects,using qualitative analysis methods,analyzing the correlation between corporate intellectual capital and business performance in theory.Thirdly, combine the quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, using empirical analysis method, study the correlation between multinational intellectual capital and business performance. In the empirical studies, mainly used descriptive statistical analysis,reliability analysis, principal component analysis,correlation analysis and linear regression analysis method, by conducting a questionnaire survey to 400 multinational companies, collecting the required data, and then use these multinational companies' questionnaire as a sample in the empirical analysis, to verify the impact of human capital, relational capital and organizational capital to financial performance and non-financial performance.Finally, through the empirical analysis of this study obtained the results, and then based on the results,we put forward proposals and outlook from the government macro level, meso-level industry and business micro-level.
