With the advent of the era of industrial 4.0, Chinese manufacturing enterprises which are losing the important competitive advantage of the low cost face the severe competition situation. The product homogeneity is getting worse. Raw material costs keep increasing. Product profit declines and the market environment is also increasingly fierce turbulent. Uncertainty risks multiply. Service innovation of manufacturing enterprises becomes the effective way to upgrade to the current situation. Many manufacturing enterprises abroad have been successful in service innovation, and service has become the source of profit of the company. However there are still more manufacturing enterprises struggling in the exploration of service innovation. What factors can promote the success of enterprise service innovation and help the enterprises obtain good performance and competitive advantage? The problem is not only the focus of academic research, also has important practical significance to the enterprises.Throughout internal and external resources of the enterprises, knowledge resource is the key resource which is one of the most valuable resources. All along, the knowledge factor is an important driving factor of enterprise innovation. With the fast development of information technology in network economy era, the innovation of the enterprises need not only the internal knowledge, is also closely related to the acquiring of knowledge with the outside world. In service innovation in manufacturing enterprises, enterprises break through the original boundary, and enter into a new field and market. So obtain new knowledge of the outside world is more important, and different knowledge acquisition mode of manufacturing enterprise has different impact on service innovation. Manufacturing enterprise knowledge acquisition mode in this paper has 3 different form, external knowledge search, knowledge sharing and knowledge co-creating. The research studies their effects on service innovation. Then mediation variable open innovation is introduced to this framework, to explore the mechanism of the influence of different mode on service innovation. This paper uses empirical research method, with 201 manufacturing companies in China as research samples, collect data through the questionnaire survey, and use of SPSS statistical analysis software to verify this hypothesis.Research results suggest that the three modes of knowledge acquisition all have a significant positive impact on the manufacturing enterprise service innovation performance. Introverts open innovation of manufacturing enterprises also exerted positive influence on service innovation performance. At the same time open innovation has the mediation role in knowledge acquisition mode and service innovation performance. According to the result, we suggest manufacturing enterprises:(1) Attaches great importance to the enterprise knowledge acquisition strategy, establish the proper knowledge acquisition mode which match the company, (2) slam the closed innovation, strengthen the competition and cooperation with external enterprises, (3) build open and sharing cooperation culture, and strengthen employees'understanding of knowledge innovation.
