| Technological level and technological structure have important influences on competitiveness of exports at the industrial and national level.Based on the theory of comparative advantage and researches in the field of technical level of manufactures, this paper reasonably construct technological sophistication of exports in services trade, and thus researches the differences and influencing factors of technological structure of China’s and India’s service exports.The study shows that during 2000 and 2011, technological level of China’s service exports is low and is far behind developed countries’. India as a developing country, its technological level of services exports is high, close to developed countries’and technological structure is far superior to China. To the developing trend, the overall technological level of China’s service exports is constantly improving and the technological structure has been finitely upgraded; technological level of India’s service exports has declined since the financial crisis as result in the ensuing deterioration of technological structure. Based on datas of transnational panel, regression analysis shows that domestic demand, the development level of service industry, human capital, trade openness and infrastructure can all enhance technical complexity, but the influncing degrees of the factors are different. To China and Indian, technical level of China’s service exports is closely related to the development level of domestic service industry and India’s is dependent on the professionals in the area of services.Some suggestions on how to improve technological level of China’s and India’s service exports are followed:China and India should develop domestic economy, improve service infrastructure, speed up industrial upgrading of domestic service industry and increase income level to provide demand support and industrial basement for the development of trade in services. Both Chinal and India should increase trade openness in services to promote technical level of services export. China should increase investmen to train senior personnel; India should increase investment in basic education area except for the implementation of "elite education" to insure a solid foundation of human capital. |
