A Study On The Redistribution Effects Of The Endowment Insurance For Urban Workers In China

With the aging-population is increasingly serious in our country, endowment insurance system and the function of redistribution is widely concerned. Endowment insurance system as an important part of social security system, its main function is to guarantee the basic life of old people and redistribution.The foreign scholars'method and research of the topic is more complete than the homes's,including intrageneration and intergeneration, policy and factors. Domestic research study the redistribution of endowment insurance in intergenerational and intragenaration.So, Based on the 2011 China Household Financial Survey (CHFS) data,this paper does a study on the redistribution effects of the endowment insurance for urban workers in gender,age,income,enterprses and marital status,using the pension actuarial model and OLS model.And the article also set different values of interest rates and wage growth rates to study the sensitivity of the redistribution effects of endowment insurance.The results show that endowment redistribution effects reflect mainly in genders,intergeneration, income and different ownership enterprises. We also find that current endowment insurance system benefits more to women,the young,the low-income people,the non state-owned enterprises and the singles.The income will affact the redistribution effect of endowment insurance in age,gender,enterprises and marital status. When the Interest rates unchanged,the redistribution effect of endowment insurance is increasing with the increasing of.wage growth rates.However,When the wage growth is increasing,the redistribution effect of endowment insurance is decreasing with the increasing of.interest rates.According to the results,we give some suggestions. First,increase women's retirement age appropriately or reduce the time of women's getting pention. Second,offer some subsidies for non-state-owned enterprises appropriately and strengthen the desire of attending the endowment insurance.So,it is benefit to implement the endowment insurance.Third, improve coverage of the policy of endowment insurance,and implement the national plan. Forth,the government should control the interest rates and wage growth levels in a reasonable range of area, it is good to play the role of the endowment insurance system in China.
