Research On The Evaluation Of Airline’s Operational Efficiency And It’s Influencing Factors

The worldwide air transport markets are opening obviously, if airline want to achieve a long-term development, it must improve international competitiveness. Airline’s level of competitiveness depends on its operational efficiency improving. Airlines which operate efficiently will upper hand in the market. When alines provide customers with quality service, they will also create tremendous benefits for themselves. By researching aline’s operational efficiency and it’s influencing factors, this study is not only aim to provide a suggestion for airlines to improve operational level and to enhance international competitiveness, but also to provide decision support for future.This paper used factor analysis, DEA and Tobit regression methods integratedly to evaluate airline’s operational efficiency and influencing factors. First, this paper reviewed on the domestic and international research status of airline’s operating efficiency, then analyzed the theories of efficiency evaluation, factor analysis and DEA model. After that, it is the empirical evaluation part of airline’s operational efficiency. On the basis of the evaluation result, the last part analyzed the factors affected the airline’s operational efficiency. Finally, this paper presented the conclusion and the improving recommendations for airlines.
