With economic development, the banking industry has entered an era of global competition, customer-centric business innovation is the important means and ways that protecting the banking fast and stable development and enhancing the core competitiveness. IT technology is just like an important booster to expand the scale, improve the efficiency and manage the risk for banking industry[1]. Because of the emerging innovation and continuous improvement of business service model in banking, it is a big challenge to operate and maintain the information systems, especially for wide distribution, business update soon, the environment complex counter terminal system. Traditional IT infrastructure cannot meet the needs of banking functions from a line of direction to the comprehensive development. It needs to use the new technology to respond to the rapidly changing market environment urgently. In this context, the article according to the needs of a Japanese bank's counter terminal system upgrade project, combine virtualization technology with OCR technology used in the new generation of counter terminal system to improve resource utilization, reduce operating costs, increase application flexibility, thereby improving the processing efficiency and ensure business continuity[2]and customer satisfaction.In order to achieve this goal, the main work completed in the article as follows:1. Analysis of the virtualization technology and OCR technology on technical characteristics and operation mode, found out the difficulties in technical combination, including: remote control of device; connection of USB devices; OCR centralized processing.2. Based on above three technical difficulties, we proposed the solutions focus on the device control server. Through the USB Device Server switch the USB device to a virtual Ethernet device, so as to realize the device control server to control peripheral devices, as well as device control server to focus on multi-user image recognition request, returned the recognition results to service terminal screen correctly.3. Function implementation and verification, including: the single-user and multi-user test; authentication modules used in scenario.Realization of image processing technology used in the banking virtualization counter terminal solved the difficulty of control peripheral devices in the virtualization terminal system. It is referential importance in other financial service trade industry like insurance and securities business.
