| With the successful entry into WTO and the deepening of reform and opening up in China, China’s local OEM enterprises got the rapid development. After10years of the spectacular development, the domestic and international economic environment began to deteriorate. The low labor costs and dividend policy advantages which help OEM enterprises to rapidly develop and survive begin to gradually disappear. Which inevitably affects the future development of OEM enterprises. The severe competition pressure and the needs of the development force OEM enterprises to break through the current development predicament in order to seek solution and strategies.The article based on the Global Value Chain Theory, Core Competence Theory, Resource-Based Theory and Quality Management Theory to study the dilemma encountered by the Y OEM and to seek for solution from the view of practice. First of all, through OEM model, reviewed the relevant theoretical research on the development of OEM mode enterprises as well as the latest research achievements by the many domestic and foreign experts and scholars. Secondly, summarized the actual dilemma and challenges of Y OEM enterprise server manufacturing business according to the investigation for Y OEM enterprises and further analysis about Y OEM enterprises, puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.
