Evaluation And Research On Shanxi Morden Agricultural Development Level

Agriculture is the basis of China's national economy and also plays a critical role in the social and economic structure of Shanxi Province. To promote modern agricultural development of Shanxi Province is an indispensable requirement for the realization of new socialist country and all-round well-off society. Over long years, Shanxi Province has made tremendous progress in agricultural development by using distinctive resources and scientific planning. However, considering local modern agriculture in current context, the overall development is less than satisfactory: poor production conditions, low technology conversion,incomplete marketing schemes, inadequate financial investment etc. hence, to accurately understand current agricultural condition, logically estimate gaps with the actual level to search for appropriate and innovative agricultural development path of Shanxi have significant practical and realistic meanings of promoting local modern agricultural development.Therefore, guided by modern agricultural sustainable development theory, agricultural industry cluster theory and agricultural location theory, the paper attempts to build Shanxi modern agricultural development evaluation system, assess, analyze recent agricultural development of Shanxi Province by AHP method so as to acquire a relatively complete recognition about the actual agricultural development of Shanxi Province, meanwhile, it conducts a comparative analysis between local and national agricultural development, and draws the conclusion that Shanxi holds distinctive advantages as well as scarcities, and proposes concerning measures.The results suggest that, Shanxi modern agricultural is in its fast development stage,while agricultural information services, government support and sustainable development still need to be improved. For this reason, Shanxi Province should take creative steps and spearhead initiatives in terms of agricultural industry chains, optimal finance, highlighting promotion, original products and logistics development to boost continuous improvement on local modern agriculture and ultimately to achieve farmers' income increase, agricultural efficiency and rural development.
