Project Purchasing Study For New Product Development Of HC Company

With the rapid development of social economy, project management has become one of the key factors of economy development, and there are more and more companies become project-oriented organizations. Project purchasing is one of nine aspects of project management, which is indispensable. The study of this thesis is based on the real background of purchasing management for new product development projects of HC company, from the perspective of project procurement management, especially the choice of suppliers and cost control, procurement cycle and so on several aspects to discuss how to help the success of the project procurement management. The thesis mainly covers the following mentioned topics and draws related conclusions.First, one of the key topics is how to solve those problems occurred in purchasing management of new product development projects, which are caused by the weakness of the complicated purchasing organization. The suggestions and conclusions are: Establish company unified purchasing standard and purchasing performance evaluation system; Redefine company purchasing strategy to meet quality and innovation objective instead of only taking price into consideration when select suppliers; Enhance cross-functional cooperation, for example, the procurement strategy should be promoted within and outside the procurement organization, so that relevant departments such as R&D department, quality management department to fully understand the company's procurement strategy.Secondly, How to solve quality management issues in project purchasing of HC company's new production development is also a main topic of the thesis. The conclusion is suggesting to involve quality person into new product development as early as possible to let them have solid understanding of technical requirements of the new product as well as to let designer understand market quality level, the purpose is to balance technical requirement and quality constrains, so the project can set an achievable quality target.Furthermore, how to avoid HC company's project purchasing issues caused by design and technology is also very important. The suggestion is to enhance earlyinvolvement of quality and purchasing in product development, it can help designer understand the market trends of quality and price to choose suitable components.Another suggestion is to involve key supplier into product design phase, fully understand HC company, the demand for new products and project plan, put forward a design proposal, reasonable development, avoid weaknesses.The last question is data management in project purchasing of HC company's new product development is confused. The suggestions are: Appoint a design leader who respond for coordinating and supervising the design of all materials for each new project to take care of overall design and completed BOM; Integrate data management to database department to make sure all necessary data is timely and correct.The key objective of this thesis is to find solutions though study of above mentioned topics, so it can be a reference for HC company's future project purchasing of new product development projects and project purchasing management of related industries.
