Research On Purchasing Management For New Product Development In Z Company

With the accelerating background of global economic integration, the enterprise has to innovate and alter constantly so as to cope with the change of market. In a competitive market, new product development provides an important means for enterprise to seek survival and development. At the same time, it brings generous profits for the enterprise. In order to improve the efficiency and quality of NDP, more and more companies take advantage of suppliers' resources to expand into NDP activities outside the enterprise. Scientific and efficient management on the procurement process of NDP activities can not only help the enterprise to effectively control risk and reduce the cost, but also ensure the enterprise takes a leading position. The purchasing management has become an important part of the long-time stable development of the enterprise. And the status of purchasing strategy is more and more important in the enterprise strategy.By taking Z company as an example, company background of Z company is introduced at first, and then, the purchasing strategy of Z company as the research target of the new project are described. Then, this dissertation discuss the status of procurement management in NPD, analyzed the existing problems,and from the NPD organization structure and process optimization, improve procurement strategy, supplier selection, supplier management and inventory in the process of NPD risk management, and so on. For the purpose of improving the purchasing management efficiency of Z company in the process of the NPD, this dissertation draws on the method of project management, Supply chain management, JIT purchasing strategy and VMI theory of purchasing strategy. The author hopes that these analyses and discussion can help Z company indentify more market opportunities.
