| Nowadays,the global economy is developing toward the economic globalization and regionalism.Service industries are playing an important role in world economy and an principal part in FDI.Since 2004,the shift towards services FDI has continued over the past 10 years in response to increasing liberalization in the sector and the growth of global value chains in which services play an important role.Despite Global FDI inflows declined and most regional groupings experienced a fall in inflows in 2014,inward FDI flows to developing economies reached their highest level at $681 billion with a 2 per cent rise and to ASEAN reacher $133 billion with a 5 per cent rise.The ASEAN region has become an attractive destination for foreign direct investments by strengthening investment cooperation and enhancing investment protection and liberalization regimes.However,there is a disparate development within ASEAN.Singapore and Brunei Darussalam are high-income countries and Laos,Myanmar and Cambodia are backward countries.The introduction of foreign capital will promote ASEAN's integration and the services foreign capital can help upgrading industries structure.Therefore,the research of services FDI in ASEAN has considerable meaning regard for the policy suggestion to ASEAN to attract services foreign capital.This paper is aimed at analyzing the locational determinants of IFDI of service.First,systemized the theoretical study and previous research result by literature research method.Second,examined locational determinants of IFDI of service in ASEAN and established the investment environmental evaluation index system of ASEAN using AHP method in aspect of the host country.Finally,on the basis of the analysis results,the paper proposed policy suggestions about the services IFDI in ASEAN.According to the research,GDP,service agglomeration,political stability,human capital and opening degree will accelerate the service IFDI in ASEAN.The government can set policies from these aspect. |
