Experiment is an important way to do research. However, in the frontier researches such as the multiphase flow researches and multiphase wax deposition researches, the establishment of experimental apparatus is much more important. Multiphase flow experimental facility is the important mean of oil, gas and water multiphase flow issues, and it is very important in the theoretical study and the engineering practice study.According to Karamay engineering education training oil and gas storage and transportation engineering center and actual requirements, multiphase flow experimental device is designed and studied. Based on the design requirement and standard, in the process of design, the experiment device function and safety factors are fully considered; and the process of experiment is determined, the flow chart and layout of equipment are drawn. Through hydraulic calculation the circuit parameters are determined, such as flow and pressure. Pump, instruments and other test instruments are selected. According to the calculation results, water tank, three-phase separator, heating and heat preservation device are designed. Main device and parameters as follow:The ring road adopts stainless steel. Straight pipeline is 36 m,4 m long turning radius of 25 d bend, two pieces of organic glass multiphase flow observation period of 4 m long is used to observe the flow pattern. Liquid flow rate range:0.2-1.5 m/s. The gas phase velocity range:1.0-20.0 m/s. Pressure transmitter measuring accuracy is 0.1%.of the selected range DasyLab8.0 acquisition software gathers parameters including pressure, differential pressure, flow, temperature, etc.Through the above work, the experiment device can realize the function of waxy crude oil pipeline wax deposition experiment, gas-liquid two phase flow study and multiphase flow wax deposition experiment. In addition, extensible interfaces are readied. In order to the debugging and experiment of this experiment device, the multiphase flow and wax deposition experiments are carried on the similar experiment device.
