To improve stability and filtration of water-based drilling fluid at high temperature and pressure in deep and ultra deep well drilling process, salt-resisting fluid loss additive HRF was synthesized by aqueous solution polymerization in an oxidation-reduction initiator system, using 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propionate sulfonic acid (AMPS), acrylamide (AM), N-vinyl pyrrolidone (NVP) and diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (DMDAAC) as comonomers, synthesized respectively anionic copolymer fluid loss agent/ NVP copolymer fluid loss agent and zwitterionic copolymer fluid loss agent of various types. Eventually forming a anti-high temperature and salt resistance fluid loss agent HRF. Optimal synthesis parameters of HRF was chosen:AMPS:AM:NVP:DMDAAC=35:45:10:10, initiator dosage 0.15%, reaction temperature 50?, the monomer concentration 30%. The HRF evaluation results showed that anti-temperature up to 230?, anti-saturated brine, anti-CaCl2/MgCl2 over 0.6%-0.7%, which properties was better than foreign products Driscal D and Dristemp. Anti high temperature and salt resistance fluid loss agent HRF is gradually enlarged and medium test, investigate the stability of the product performance, solve the impact of industrial raw materials on product performance, successful implementation of the fluid loss agent HRF industrial production. The infrared spectrum analysis and thermal gravimetric analysis and biological toxicity test of the anti high temperature and salt resistance fluid loss agent HRF were carried out, which indicates that HRF has a high decomposition temperature and no toxicity. Filtration reducer HRF achieved a successful field application in YuanBai 10-1H drilling fluid and XinShen 1 drilling fluid, the effect indicated that HRF possesses good character of HTHP fluid loss, improve temperature resistance and rheology in slurry system, prevent low viscosity under high-temperature happen.
