Mercury in natural gas has strong toxicity, volatility and corrosivity, in order to prevent the mercury does harm to the production operation, the ecological environment and personal health and safety, the most fundamental measures are to remove mercury from natural gas. In the natural gas industry, the development and application of domestic mercury sorbents are less, most rely on imports, which take off the soaring cost. The development of wide application, low cost and efficient mercury sorbents is a problem to be solved.Around the chemical adsorption, this paper put a thorough analysis of commonly used mercury sorbents:sulfur-loaded activated carbon can be used for dry gas because of capillary condensation in liquid hydrocarbon; silver molecular sieve can achieve renewable recycling, but the unit energy consumption and investment are high; supported metal sulfide, with wide range application and stable performance, can be used for the gas phase and liquid phase mercury removal, can minimize the downstream equipment corrosion and pollution of the product. Domestic development technology of supported metal sulfide mercury sorbents is not mature, the key development this paper is sorbents suitable for wet gas.Targetted mercury as pollutant, consider the mercury mechanism of supported metal sulfide, prepared supported copper sulfide using impregnation method for alumina as the carrier and copper sulfide as the active material, optimized the operation parameters of copper salt precursor, including concentration of the impregnation, impregnation time, calcination temperature. Optimization of the carrier is 2 mm?5mm in diameter, specific surface area of 100 m2/g?400 m2/g, entrance 0.2 cm3/g?1 cm3/g, eventually developed the TG-A, TG-B, TG-C, TG-D supported metal sulfide sorbents. Scope of development of mercury sorbents formula:Sulfur content?1.0%,copper content of 1%?50%,RxOy content of 0.1%?50%, alumina content of 20%-95%,and characterise the TG type mercury sorbents using various testing techniques.Based on the fixed bed adsorption system set up the mercury performance evaluation experimental device, analysing mercury removal efficiency and mercury adsorption capacity of these four temples, and performance comparison. Results of mercury removal efficiency demonstrate that:the increase of initial mercury concentration will reduce the mercury removal rates; increase the contact time can improve the mercury removal rates.Among the TG type sorbents,TG-D works best because the highest sulfur content, and it's mercury adsorption capacity can reach to 63kg/t, compared with the same type of mercury remove sorbents showed good performance and economical efficiency.Put forward the mercury fuel gas treatment process of K gas field according to the characteristics of the fuel gas in K gas field, complete the design of heat exchanger, mercury removal tower, the mechanical filter, conducts field test and application effect evaluation with optimized TG-D mercury sorbent. The running results show that after the field test device, the mercury levels of fuel gas dropped to under 5?g/m3, with good treatment effect and low cost, has reached the design requirements.In general, the supported copper sulfide sorbents has good performance of mercury, field test runs smoothly and cheap, has excellent industrial application prospect.
