Superabsorbent is a water-insoluble, three-dimensional network polymer, which can be highly swollen in water. Because of its unique water absorption and water retention performance, since it came out, it had been widely used in water treatment, petroleum chemical industry, agriculture, forestry and gardening, etc.In this article, using acrylic acid (AA) and acrylamide (AM) and allyl polyethylene glycol (APEG) as raw materials, ammonium persulfate as initiator, N, N-methylene bisacrylamide (MBA) as crosslinking agent to make something, preparing the P(AA/AM/APEG) superabsorbent by aqueous solution polymerization. The effects of m(AA)/m(AM), acrylic acid neutralization degree, initiator dosage, crosslinking agent dosage, APEG dosage, monomer concentration and reaction temperature on the water absorption of the product were investigated. According to the single factor experimental method, here are the optimized synthesis conditions:m (AA)/m (AM) is 4:1, neutralization degree is 80%, the amount of initiator is 0.3%, the amount of crosslinking agent was 0.06%, APEG addition amount is 5.0% of AA and AM quality, monomer concentration was 25% and the reaction temperature was 65 ?. Then Under the optimum conditions, distilled water absorption rate of the product was 1080g/g.On the basis of the P(AA/AM/APEG) super absorbent resin, the introduction of the Nano silicon dioxide (Nano-SiO2) and cetyl dimethyl allyl ammonium chloride(C16DMAAC), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as functional materials prepared by organic-inorganic composite super absorbent resin, hydrophobically modified high water absorption resin and semi interpenetrating network type high water absorbent resin. The effects of initiator dosage, crosslinking agent dosage and the amount of functional materials on water absorption were investigated respectively. The structure and surface morphology of the product were characterized by infrared (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).In addition, the bibulous rate, water absorption rate under different conditions, the performance of water retention and repeat water absorption performance of the four kinds of super absorbent resins had been studied. The results showed:the preparation of sodium polyacrylate composite super absorbent resin in 80-120 objective particle size has a rapid rate of water uptake, and its water absorbency was above 1000g/g; hydrogel saturated with water after heating or pressuring still had high water retention, it illustrated the synthesis of water-absorbent resin has strong water retention properties; moreover, the resin has good performance for repeated water absorption.
