The roller bit is widely used for drilling engineering. Due to its special structure, bit bearing system has become a key part that affectedits working life span. In recent years, researchers developed a mandatory rotation floating ring sliding bearing to prolong the life span of roller bit under high working speed. Its most significant characteristic is that make the floating ring rotation torque change (produced by inside and outside contact pair) from friction torque to thrust torque (produced by roller rolling), This can reduce the dependence of floating ring's inside and outside clearance value. But how can we design the mandatory rotation floating ring, which factors do have effects on structural parameters, these problems have not been solved. The thesis used the basic theoretical knowledge such as finite element, tribology, applied simulation software ABAQUS to complete the research of floating ring in mandatory rotation floating ring sliding bearing, and further discussed the influence rule of roller's engineering parameters on floating ring's rotation torque, finally determined a series of roller's parameters The main research work of this article can be summarized as follow:(1) The failure analysis of the roller bit. By collecting domestic and foreign literature about roller bit bearing, we know most of rock bit are indicated by adhesive-wear failure of the bearing. In order to slove this problem, a forced ratation floating-ring bearing designed in this article.(2) The dynamic analysis of the forced rotation floating-ring bearing. In this paper, We simulated the speed and stress changes of the forced rotation floating-ring in the process of rotation.Understanded its mechanical properties, which provided a theoretical basis to feasibility of a new structure.(3) The mechanical analysis on the forced rotation floating-ring bearing. Based on the structure of 8 1/2 in three cone bit. Studied two aspects by static model analysis method:the influence rules of parameters and conditions on the floating ring working position are studied, as inside and outside gap value, thickness of floating ring, roller size and roller number are studied, and the influence rules of structure parameter on thrust moment are studied.(4) Research on design theory of forced rotation floating-ring bearing. Based on the structure of 8 1/2 in three cone bit, combined with the floating ring's clearance value, given the roller's number, roller's structure parameters, roller's hollowness, allowable bearing drilling pressure range of parameters.
