Panzhihua-Xichang area has abundant titanium resources and is an important development and utilization base of titanium resources in China.Restricted by the current mineral processing technology,the recycling utilization rate of Panzhihua ilmenite is low,especially the microgranular ilmenite due to the small mass,large specific field,its recovery is recognized a problem of mineral processing field and also the most outstanding and urgent problem in comprehensive utilization of titanium resources in this region.In order to effectively solve the problem of the recycling of fine grained ilmenite,our country has set up 973 scientific research special.Changsha Institute of Mining and Metallurgy based on The Twelfth-Five-Year Plan 973 Project "The basic research of high efficiency and clean transformation comprehensive utilization of the associated refractory metal Resources" under the topic "The basic research of high-chromium vanadium titanium magnetite multi-metal efficient comprehensive utilization",developed a new type of SK-1 fine grained ilmenite collector.In this paper,the research object of Panzhihua fine grained ilmenite is based on the SK-1 new fine grained ilmenite collector,using a variety of analytical and testing techniques,combining theoretical analysis and experimental research,the floating behavior and its mechanism of the new collector flotation ilmenite were studied,and the theoretical guidance was provided for the application of new medicament in the recycling of ultrafine ilmenite in Panzhihua.The main research contents are as follows:A new type of collector SK-1 for the effective separation of ilmenite and titanium Diopside was determined by the study on the phytoplankton of ilmenite and titanium diopside under the action of SK-1 of sodium oleate,benzyl hydroxy oxime acid,MOS and collector.The results show that,under the effect of new collector SK-1,the fine-grained ilmenite has better flotation recovery in the wider ph range?pH value4.012.0?.And titanium Diopside only showed a better flotation effect when pH value was greater than 6.0,and in the new collector SK-1 system,by studying the effect of starch,inhibitor HCW,six sodium phosphate,oxalic acid on ilmenite and titanium diopside single minerals,An inhibitor HCW with the SK-1 performance of the new collector is determined.The research results show that the collector SK-1 and inhibitor HCW action,when the pH value is greater than 4.5,the fine grained ilmeniteshows better float,and the titanium diopside with the increase of pH value,the better the float,the better the separation,the pH value should be controlled in 4.56.0.The mixed ore test results show that when the pH interval is 4.56.0 and the suitable dosage condition,when the mixing ore gives the ore TiO2 grade 20.90%,a flotation operation obtains the TiO2 grade of coarse concentrate as 32.52%,and the recovery rate is 74.03% better indicator.Dynamic potential test,the adsorption test results showed that the surface potential of ilmenite was obviously negative drift,while the surface potential negative drift of titanium diopside was less,and the adsorption capacity of the surface of ilmenite was larger than the titanium diopside surface,which showed that the SK-1collector was more easily adsorbed on the surface of titanium ores.IR spectra showed that the adsorption of new collector on the surface of ilmenite belonged to chemical adsorption.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy further demonstrated that the adsorption form of a new collector on the surface of titanium ores was chemically adsorbed.The adsorption model is: The key of collector and atom N and O mainly through the Mg2+,Ca2+,Fe2+,Ti4+ and other active particles of the surface of the iron ore chemical reactions,and priority with the titanium iron oxide surface content of Fe2+,Ti4+,so that efficiently catching the ilmenite.The interfacial chemical behaviors of the new collector in the flotation system of Ultrafine ilmenite were revealed by studying the adsorption methods of the new collector on the surface of minerals and the adsorption capacity,the bonding atom of medicament and the action of the active particles on the surface of mineral granules.The actual ore test results show that the dosage of the collector SK-1 is 1.6kg/t,the inhibitor HCW dosage is 800g/t,pH control in the best of about 5.2 of the rough selection,the control of the selection of pH value of 4.05.5,through a closed-circuit flowsheet of one roughing,five stages of cleaning,two scavenging,to obtain the refined mineral rate for 31.12%,TiO2 grade 48.35%,the recovery rate of 81.74% of titanium concentrate products,fine ilmenite obtained efficient recycling.
