Basalt fiber has excellent thermal insulation and flame resistance.Based on thermal protection performance,the mechanical properties,thermal stability and combustion properties of basalt filament/Aramid 1313 flame retardant fabrics with different organizational structures are discussed.Different combinations of different layers of fabric were tested by orthogonal method,To find the fire and thermal protective performance of waterproof and moisture permeability of the best service to the fabric.In this paper,aramid 1313 is mixed with basalt filament.As the outer layer of the fire protective clothing,woven into plain,weaving twill,satin,the junction organization.The thickness of the square mick weight,tensile,tear,vertical combustion,limit oxygen index,thermal stability test.Experimental data show that,six kinds of fabric,weft tear strength is greater than the maximum load,the relevant standard.The maximum can reach 1962 N.Latitude to reach the maximum can reach 6325 N.Therefore,to improve the properties of basalt fabric tear applying interleaving approach is feasible.In addition,the six kinds of tissues also have excellent thermal stability and flame retardant properties.At 260± 5 ?,fabric size change rate is no more than 0.5%.The shape is stable and the surface has no obvious change.From the time of 0,continued burning time is less than 2S,the fabric damaged length is less than or equal to 100mm,no melt dripping phenomenon.But the plain,twill,satin weave the limiting oxygen index(LOI)is less than 69%,did not reach the standard,with the junction organization,junction joint organization,all aspects of the organization can meet the demands.Secondly,the moisture permeability and heat stability test of waterproof and moisture permeable layer.From the experimental results,TPU film,PTFE film and Nomex substrate moisture permeability and flame retardant cotton fabric good dimensional stability,meet the requirements.Third,insulation material,insulation 70g Nomex/Kevlar nonwovens,Nomex/Kevlar nonwovens 140g insulation,flame retardant properties and thermal stability of Nomex/Kevlarw insulation 140g non-woven fabrics in the standard range,non melting drop phenomenon,size and stability.Finally,the orthogonal design method,the fire service layer,waterproof layer and insulation layer of nine kinds of combination of TPP thermal stability test and WVTR permeability test.Results show,on thermal protection performance,the outer layer is the most influential,the second is the waterproof breathable layer,finally is the insulation layer.On the WVTR moisture permeability,waterproof breathable layer on the waterproof effect is the largest,followed by the insulation layer,finally for the outer layer.Fabric 2 test specimens of the TPP thermal protection performance is the best,two degree burn time is the longest.It is the most suitable fire clothing fabric,joint binding structure.Fabric 2 is the PTFE film Nomex substrate,Nomex needle insulation 140g.
