Tin is a non-ferrous metal with many excellent properties,and it has a wide range of application and a huge market.Dulong Tin and Zinc Polymetallic Deposit locats in Maguan County of Yunnan Province,and it is one of four Tin Polymetallic Deposits(Gejiu,Dachang,Bainiu and Dulong)in the west of Nanling.There is mainly tin and zinc in this deposit,and there are more than 10 other valuable associated elements such as silver,indium,cadmium,copper,lead,gallium and germanium,which are highly exploited.At present,It has ascertained that Dulong Tin reserves about 330,000 tons of tin,it is abundant but the disseminated grain size of cassiterite is superfine,more than 50 percent of cassiterite disseminated size is less than 0.02mm.At the same time,composition of cassiterite is complex and it is hard to concentrate cassiterite.Therefore,the poor flotation index of cassiterite is mainly manifested in the low recovery rate.In this paper,combined with field experience,the appropriate pharmaceutical system and process was explored,and it has proved that a new cassiterite activator has an effect of the superior activation on cassiterite.In this paper,the properties of ore were studied by various process mineralogy detection methods,such as,chemical multi-element analysis,XRD,SEM-EDS,phase analysis and particle size analysis.The main content and achievements are as follows:It has identified the mineral composition and the mineralogical characteristics of main minerals.The most valuable metal in ore is tin,which has a grade of 0.376%,and most of tin is in the form of cassiterite.The gangue mineral is consist of chlorite,muscovite,steatite,pyrrhotite,chlorite,magnesium oxide,tremolite and so on.The SiO2 has a grade of 24.54%,and CaO has a low grade of 1.04%.The grade of sulfur is so high that had a great influence on the flotation index,sulfur is mainly in the form of pyrite and pyrrhotite.Aiming at the characteristics of Dulong Tin deposit,a new type of cassiterite activator-KT51 was developed to optimize the flotation environment and improve the recovery of concentration,while cassiterite desulfurization-flotation tests have been carried out,the appropriate regent system and process was obtained.The desulfurization process is roughly selected one time,with a concentration of two times,regent system is sulfuric acid dosage of 5000g/t;DF-336 dosage of 100g/t;frother agent pine oil dosage of 40g/t;The tin flotation process is one roughing,two cleaning and two scavenging,regent system is regulators is Na2CO3 and dosage is 100g/t;tin activator dosage of 500g/t;collector JSY-19 dosage of 1200g/t;auxiliary collector P86 dosage of 80g/t;frother pine oil dosage of 60g/t..In the whole process of cassiterite flotation and its comparison tests,it is proved that the cassiterite activator can effectively improve recovery in cassiterite flotation.Combined with field experience,it compares the real situations about before and after the use of cassiterite activator by analyzing and calculating index,cost and income.According to estimation,it can increase by 5.592 million yuan economically by using the new activator.
