Cherry tomatoes belong to climacteric berries,which have rich nutritions and distinct flavour,besides,which own high economic value.Cherry tomatoes quality would be bad because of the weight loss when they were held at typical retail and the mechanical damage when they were transported with unsuitable package.Modified atmosphere packaging is an important way to fresh the fruit and vegetable in most industrially developed countries because of less expensive and easy to operate,but it would decay the produce if too long.Anti-vibration package of strawberry,pear and apple can significantly delay quality deterioration,but less research about cherry tomatoes now.Thus,objective of this study was to assess how modified atmosphere packaging affected fruit's quality,antioxidant system and pectic metabolism and the effects of different packaging ways on logistic quality of cherry tomatoes.The results were showed as follows:1?The seletion of suitable packageTo investigate the influence of different packaging on the quality of cherry tomatoes stored in the condition of 20?,60%-70%relative humidity.(ordinary package:Polyethylene bag with 0.03 mm thick?High density polyethylene bag with 0.04 mm thick;functional package:Low density polyethylene bag with 0.07 mm thick?Low density polyethylene bag with 0.04 mm thick and Polyethylene bag with 0.07 mm thick).The results indicated than the eighth day,the fruit with functional package smelled faintly of midew,but the smelled was worse in ordinary package and their sensory score was 7.33?7.28 and 7.80?7.75?7.80 respectively,the fruit with no package sensory score was 5.9 which is soft and shaded;the contents of soluble solids was 7.59%?7.52%and 7.69%?7.62%?7.56%respectively.All functional package could maintain higher contents of SSC and TA,decreased the contents of MDA and delay the changes in weight loss and color by decrease in endogenous levels of O2 and increased levels of CO2.In them the bag with 0.07 mm thick is cheap than other two bag which is antifogging and bacteriostatic.2?Effect of modified atmosphere packaging on antioxidants system and pectic metabolism on cherry tomatoes:Cherry tomatoes were packaged by Low density polyethylene bag with 0.07 mm thick,and then stored in the condition of 20?,60%-70%relative humidity.The aim of this research was to investigate the changes of antioxidants system and pectic metabolism of cherry tomatoes.The results indicated than the modified atmosphere packaging promoted the activities of fruit SOD,APX and CAT;POD activities first and then inhibited it;maintained the content of total phenols,flavonoid,lycopene and vitamin C;the eighth day,the treatment with no bag the O2·-production rate and H2O2 content was 996.08 nmol/min.g and 65.98 ?mol/L respectively.With bag was 751.11 nmol/min.g and 46.21 ?mol/L respectively.Modified atmosphere packaging maintained the contents of pectic decrease the content of water soluble pectic throuth delayed the increase of PG?PE and CX activity.The eighth day,the treatment with no bag the content of pectic and water soluble pectic was 0.29%and 0.18%respectively.With bag was 0.32%and 0.09%respectively.3?Effects of different packing way on logistics quality of cherry tomatoes:In order to determine the best cherry tomatoes logistics packing method,seven packing methods(tiny packagage:quadrate plastic fruit box+functional package+carton?quadrate plastic fruit box+functional package+bubble chamber?divied plastic fruit box+functional package+carton;large package:carton+wet newspaper?bubble chamber+wet newspaper?bubble chamber+wet blotting paper?bubble chamber+damping pad+ wet blotting paper)were designed to logistics simulation.The results showed that after eight hours,the decay ratio was 20%?18.33%?3.33%and 26.67%?16.67%?13.33%?5%respectivelt.Wet blotting paper can lower weight loss like the wet newspaper.anti-vibration package can not only effectively reduce the fruit surface damage,respiration,maintain the good texture properties and the contents of SSC,Vc,total phenols,flavonoid,thereby significantly decay quality deterioration of postharvest cherry tomato,and bubble chamber is better than carton in these function.Above all,in order to prolong fruits storage and shelflife,we can use modified atmosphere packaging and anti-vibration packaging to maintain the quality.
