In the production process of the beneficiation plant.The operation cost of the grinding operation is about half of the whole beneficiation plant.The level of grinding costs to a large extent determine the cost of the entire beneficiation plant level.Power consumption during the grinding process and steel consumption of the media liner account a large proportion of the total electricity consumption and total steel consumption in the country.At the same time,grinding operations,as the last change in the ore size before the operation,the composition of grinding product size determines the composition of the ore into the floating ore is good or bad,affect the number of flotation operations indicators and quality indicators directly.In this paper,the copper samples are provided by Yongping Copper Mine of Jiangxi Copper Group and grinding kinetics test was carried out.According to the variation trend of the kinetics parameters of different grain size under different ball diameters,appropriate size of steel ball diameter and ratio of each grain grade ore is determined and Yongping copper mine original loading ball system is achieved.The grinding comparison test is carried out about the original loading ball program.By comparing the content of + 0.2mm oversize,-0.01mm overcracking,-0.074mm grinding fineness and 0.15mm?0.038mm intermediate easy to select the grain size of each grinding product.The results of the comparison show that the best original loading ball plan in Yongping copper mine is:? 70:? 60:? 50:?30=30:20:25:25.The results of the laboratory test were applied to the industrial test.The industrial test was carried out in a section of ? 5.03 X 6.4m overflow type ball mill in Yongping Copper Mine.And the medium in the ball mill was optimized by replacing the steel ball gradually.Industrial test results show that:ball mill steel ball replacement is completed and grinding grading system product quality indicators have been significantly improved.Ball mill fineness(-0.074mm content)increased by 4.82 percentage points,+0.15mm coarse Level content decreased by 8.02 percentage points,-0.01mm over-crushed particle size decreased by 7.59%,0.15mm?0.038mm intermediate easy to select the level of content increased by 4.98 percentage points.Flow overflow fineness(-0.074mm content)increased 4.23 percentage points,+0.15 mm coarse grain content decreased by 7.47 percentage points.The-0.01mm over crushed grain size decreased by 0.76 percentage points,0.15mm?0.038mm intermediate easy to select the level of content increased by 9.70 percentage points.After the ball mill media is optimized,grinding composition and the cyclone overflow product particle size composition optimizes,ball mill dielectric unit consumption and unit power consumption reduces,processing capacity of the ball mill and flotation operations indicators improves.After the industrial test,ball mill processing capacity increased by 1.04t/h,medium consumption in the ball mill reduced by 0.072 kg/t,unit power consumption of the ball mill reduced by 0.56 kW · h/t,copper recovery increased by 2.61 percentage points,grade of copper concentrate increased by 1.11 percentage points.According to the grinding dynamics test results,the kinetic parameters were analyzed(Parameters k and m are related to the material properties and grinding conditions.).In the range of + 0.45mm coarse grain,the k value of the ore increases with the diameter increases of the ball first.After the ball diameter reaches a certain value,the k value begins to decrease.And the inflection point of the k value of the ore is not the same.In the 0.45mm0.074mm fine-grained interval.The k value of the ore decreases as the diameter of the ball increases.The k value increases with the size of the ore to be mill.When the particle size is reduced to a certain value,as the particle size was reduced,the k value gradually begins to decrease.When the diameter is between 30mm and 50mm,the m value decreases gradually as the particle size decreases generally.Ore size reduced to a certain value,m value began to gradually increase.Overall,regardless of the size of the ore,the m value increases with the increase of the ball diameter.
