The traditional sorting process uses copper sulfate as an activator of zinc minerals,but copper sulfate can also play a role in activation on the minerals contained multi-sulphide iron ore for the polymetallic ores containing zinc.That is to say,the selectivity of activation is weak,then will affect the beneficiation indexes of zinc concentrate and some valuable rare and noble metals,and even the efficiency of concentration plant.So the development of new and efficient activators of zinc minerals has always been one of the hot topics in the world,this study has important theoretical and practical value for the activated flotation of zinc minerals.After years of research,professor Tongxiong's team developed a new and efficient activator of marmatite,named X-43.Under low alkaline conditions,X-43 achieved the targeted activation of marmatite and inhibition of other mineral what is harmful to the beneficiation indexes of Marmatite.The new and efficient activator of marmatite has been successfully replaced copper sulfate and realized industrial application in Xintian concentration plant of Hualian Zn-In Limited by Share Ltd.The content of iron in marmatite is different,its properties will be different.In order to make the activation capacity of X-43 to adapt to different marmatite,professor Tongxiong's team developed a new generation of high efficiency activator X-45 through the upgrading of components.In order to verify whether the X-45 can adapt to different activation flotation of Marmatite and Whether it can replace the original activator X-43 in Xintian concentration plant used in Marmatite,This article addressed the issues raised above,used the activator of marmatite copper sulfate and X-45 as the main research object,respectively,carried out a pure mineral test,artificial mixed pure mineral test and the actual ore test,and analyzed by XRD,contact angle,hydrophobic aggregation,chemical analysis and other means,conclusions can be drawn through the above tests and detection:1.The results of pure mineral test show that the activation effect of X-45 on marmatite is better than copper sulfate under the best conditions of reagent system;2.The results of artificial mixed pure mineral test show that the activation effect of X-45 on marmatite is better than copper sulfate and the selectivity is better;3.The results of actual ore test show that the activation effect of X-45 on marmatite is better than copper sulfate and X-43.In addition,the measurement of contact angle and the analysis of hydrophobic aggregation also proved:the activation effect and selectivity of X-45 on marmatite is better than copper sulfate.According to the ore and copper tailings in Xintian concentration plant of Hualian Zn-In Limited by Share Ltd,refer to the grinding fineness,beneficiation flowsheet and reagent system,regarding ore,I adopt the open circuit process with one roughing,one scavenging and three cleaning operations(the operation of preferential copper flotation)and two roughing,one scavenging,four cleaning operations and one scavenging concentrate(the operation of activated zinc flotation),use the new and efficient activator X-45 as activator of zinc flotation operation,obtain the grade of zinc concentrate is 45.55%and cumulative recovery is 94.22%;furthermore,using copper sulfate as activator of the operation of zinc flotation,can obtain the grade of zinc concentrate is 43.63%and cumulative recovery is 90.05%.Regarding copper tailings,I adopt the closed circuit process with one roughing,two scavenging and three cleaning operations,use the new and efficient activator X-45 as activator of the operation of zinc flotation,obtain the grade of zinc concentrate is 48.02%and recovery is 98.11%;besides,using copper sulfate as activator of zinc flotation operation,can obtain the grade of zinc concentrate is 46.01%and recovery is 98.15%.The above experiment proves that X-45 has more superiority in activation of marmatite.
