Meanwhile,as people’s thinking is getting wider and aesthetics in becoming higher,the simple knitting decorative effect cannot meet designers’ requirements for innovation and art of leather clothing because the individualism and diversification of fashion aesthetics are embodied in this society with rapid development of material as well as spiritual civilization.Taking bamboo weaving art as the key point enlightening leather clothing knitting,this paper researches it from the perspectives of historical origins and evolution,technology development,aesthetic value,life attitude,workmanship spirit and traditional culture.By means of sorting the technique,effect,color and connotation of bamboo knitting strip,and analyzing specific knitting cases in contemporary leather clothing,it summarizes the innovating design methods of bamboo weaving enlightens leather clothing knitting from the perspectives of technology,cultural inheritance and sustainability of environmental protection.The author sorts out some representative basic bamboo workmanship.Through drawing knitting structural chart and measuring material property,the author utilizes leather materials in different colors to implement innovative application knitting of bamboo weaving technology,generalizes design rule and obtains conclusion.Since bamboo weaving art is Chinese intangible cultural heritage,to apply the innovative elements of bamboo weaving to leather clothing contribute to expanding the extension space of bamboo weaving art,better spreading and protecting bamboo weaving technology,and arousing people’s memory symbol as well as mentality of returning to traditional culture,environmental protection sustainability and plain life.Meanwhile,it enriches technology knitting method of leather industry,knitting pattern and surface decorative effect.The combination with non-clothing materials provides leather clothing with more abundant material innovation and texture language.
