Cucurbit[n]urils(Q[n]s)is the fourth generation of macrocyclic compounds.Basing on its rigid structure and strong polarity of the fringes,cucurbit[n]urils chemistry has become an important branch of supramolecular chemistry and macrocyclic chemistry.As a macromolecule compound which is directly bonded to the polymer as the reactive group,it is a new research hotspot that combines the supramolecular chemistry with the polymer chemistry.Based on the previous experimental data,this paper mainly studies the related polymers basing on the hydroxyl cucurbit[n]urils and basing on the covalent bridging of the cucurbit[n]urils.The main research involves: 1)syntheses and structural characterization of tetramethylcucurbit[6]uril-anchored polyacrylic acid;2)syntheses and structural characterization of TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol;3)the adsorption of TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol ester polymer for drugs;4)the synthesis and structural characterization of the phenol esters and naphthol ester of the cucurbit[5]urils bridging acrylic acid polymers;5)the adsorption of Q[5]-PAA-phenol ester polymer and Q[5]-PAA-naphthol ester polymer on volatile organic small molecules.According to Professor Su Haiquan's one-pot synthesis of cucurbit[n]urils polymer,the polymerization monomer was acrylic acid,the oxidant of the cucurbit[n]urils and the initiator of the polymerization was ammonium persulfate.The reaction was carried out to form a series of TMeQ[6]-PAA polymer in the yield of 36 to 75%.The structure of the obtained product was studied by 1D 1H NMR,13 C NMR,2D NMR,GPC,TG,ITC,FTIR.This method extends the study of methyl cucurbit[n]urils,improves the utilization of methyl cucurbit[n]urils,and broadens the researchers selecting categories of cucurbit[n]urils and polymer monomers.As TMeQ[6]-PAA polymer materials are little solvable,needing further curing derive to reduce its water solubility.Through the esterification reaction with phenol,TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol ester polymer is insoluble in water which has a potential application value in the sewage treatment.The structure of the obtained TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol ester polymer was characterized by IR spectrum and 13 C CP-MAS NMR.And then the adsorption of TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol ester polymer on drugs was detected by UV spectroscopy.It is interesting to use ethanol which disperses TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol ester polymer adsorbing water-soluble drug to release part of the drug molecule.Based on the above method,the Q[5]-PAA was esterified with phenol and naphthol,respectively and the TMeQ[6]-PAA-phenol ester polymer and naphthol ester polymer were obtained.The adsorption mass to small molecule was evaluated by weight method.and the adsorption of the two polymers on methanol was significantly higher than on other organic small molecules.
