This paper surveys the current situation of research on domestic and foreign gas leakage diffusion and combustible gas detectors.Through analysis of a few gas leakage diffusion model,this paper determines the method that PHAST software and existed combustible gas detector layout are adopted together,to research the combustible gas detector selection and layout rationality on offshore platform.Through analysis of detection principle of different types of combustible detectors,combined with the feature of offshore platform and the parameter of different manufacturers' detectors,this paper determines the specification requirement of selected detector.Combined with the factors that influence the gas leakage diffusion,this paper simulates combustible gas leakage diffusion model on offshore platform,and determines the hazardous boundary of combustible gas cloud.Through the computation of coverage percentage,this paper provide guide on layout rationality of detectors,and ensure that it be more scientific,reasonable and effective to detect the combustible gas leakage and the accumulation of combustible gas cloud,to reduce the cost and ensure the safe production on offshore platform.
