Research On The Layout Optimization Of Public Toilets In Central Hohhot Downtown Area

In today's society,public toilets are not only a place for people to excrete,but also a "Business card" That reflects the life quality of people,representing the degree of the civilization and "Window" Of the city.As an important and indispensable public space,public toilets are the public goods that must be defined in the urban development and planning.However,in reality,the development of the city does not attach importance to or ignore the construction of the public toilets.This concept is in a dominant position for a long time.Therefore,the lack of the public toilets and the improper layout of public toilets not only cause many inconvenience to people's lives,but also affects the overall image of the city.The scientific planning of the standard,quantity and layout of urban public toilets is still an important issue that needs to be paid more attention to in modern cities.Based on the basic data of the public toilets and field investigation data,this paper makes an objective evaluation on the present situation of public toilets construction in the central district of Hohhot city,taking the central urban area of Hohhot as the research scope,using the basic data of public toilets and field investigation data.On the basis of analyzing the basic situation and spatial distribution of the public toilets,through the analysis of the quantity and type and the rationality of the space layout,the author optimizes and adjusts the existing public toilets,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing the layout of the public toilets.Through the research and analysis,the conclusions of this paper are as follows:1)The present situation of the public toilet construction: There are1407 public toilets in Huhhot central city,including 356 in Saihan District,368 in Yuquan District,387 in Xincheng District and 296 in Hui District;2)The public toilet construction type is Qingcheng post station,fixed public toilet,mobile public toilet,social public toilet.2)Rational analysis of3)the public toilet space layout: The distribution type of the public toilets in the central urban area of Hohhot belongs to the condensed type,and the public latrines around public service facilities basically meet the needs of the present situation.Most residents in the 5 minutes can find the nearby public toilets,the overall layout of the space is reasonable,but some of the public toilets are too concentrated in the distribution,too close to the service areas,the phenomenon of superposition.3)The optimized layout of public toilets is that the serving area of the public toilets in 1: 620 is relatively small,and the service area of 179 public toilets should be adjusted and deleted properly,so it should be added to the surrounding area according to the actual situation,and the theoretical reasonable value of the male and female toilets should be 1: 2.3.
