Innovative Research In Stitching Design In Apparel Design

The use of stitching clothing is a wearing style developing from the bottom of society to the upper class as well as the ancient world to be the present time."Stitching" can literally be interpreted as "separation of fragments" and "separation and destruction." "The integration of fragments" is a means of disrupting rules and re-synthesizing.In the past,whether in the West or East,splicing design has been widely used in clothing.In China,the Sui and Tang dynasties had this joint-colored skirts,monk’s ragged robe,patchwork in the fork society,etc.In the thirteenth century,piecine as well as the clown’s suit etc.was commonly used in the mainland of Western Europe.Stitching clothing can not only bring convenience to daily dressing functionally,but also create a new art form which brings a new aesthetic experience to life.The use of stitching in fashion design can express designer’s creative ideas and thinking from different angles and forms That can also meet the current consumer demand in fashion and individuality.As a result of the development of new materials and new technology,"interception" and "integration" of splicing design brings new vitality visually.Therefore,this article explores and summarizes the innovative design and application future of the stitching design in the history of the clothing form,formation,application,artistic beauty etc.By doing so can guide the practice in designing thought and creative methods.This article mainly divides into seven chapters.The first chapter introduces the current research status,the research quality as well as states the purpose,significance,problems and conditions of the research.The second chapter outlines the development of splicing design at home and abroad,from the point of its origin,application and status quo.From the third chapter to the sixth chapter,the paper elaborates on the specific application of stitching design in clothing from its craft,fabric,pattern,style and etc in order to explore its artistic beauty and application background.The sixth chapter makes a conclusion on the basis of the previous chapters.The paper looks for innovative applications with the three elements of fashion design methods in the splicing design.The last chapter is the summarization of the whole paper.
