This paper contains two parts:the synthesization and property evaluation of hydrophobic associating water soluble polymer and precrosslinked gel profile control agent.A series of temperature resistant and salt tolerant hydrophobically associating water soluble polymer with capsaicin derivant functional monomer is developed in this paper.The hydrophobically associating water soluble polymer coacrylamide-crylic acid-octadecylacrylate-HMBA(AMAHSA) and coacrylamide -2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesul fonite -octadecylacrylate-HMBA (AMPHSA) are synthesized by the radical micellar copolymerization technique in order to resolve the defect of the weak temperature and salts resistance in the application of advancement of oil field recovery ratio.The functional monomer moiety-N-(4-Hydroxy -methoxy -benzyl) -acrylamide(HMBA) with capsaicin derivant prepared in lab is added into this polymer.The synthesized conditions of AMAHSA and AMPHSA and temperature and salts influence on the polymer solution are studied.AMAHSA and AMPHSA are also compared with co-acrylamide-crylic acid-octadecylacrylate(AMASA) and co- acrylamide- 2- acrylamido -2-methylpropanesulfonite -octadecylacrylate(AMPSA) which did not contain HMBA. The salt tolerance contrast in 0.5%?2.5%sodium chloride of four hydrophobically associating water soluble polymers is AMAPHSA?AMAPSA?AMAHSA?AMASA.The salt tolerance contrast in 0.2%?1.0%potassium chloride of four polymers is AMAPHSA?AMAHSA?AMAPSA?AMASA.The temperature resistance contrast of four polymers is AMAPHSA?AMAHSA?AMAPSA?AMASA.The results indicate that the temperature resistance and salt tolerance of AMAPHSA and AMAHSA with HMBA both excelled AMAPSA and AMASA without HMBA.A starch grafted temperature resistant and salt tolerant precrosslinked gel profile control agent with capsaicin derivant functional monomer is developed in this paper. The starch grafted polymer co-acrylamide-crylic acid-octadecylacrylate-HMBA (PSAHAAM) is synthesized by the radical copolymerization technique.The synthesized conditions of PSAHAAM and each property index such as expansion rate, water retaining rate and temperature resistance and salt tolerance of the polymer solution are studied.The expansion rate of PSHAAM in distilled water is 305g/g,in water supply is 255g/g,in saline is 118g/g,in sea water is 58g/g.The water retaining of PSHAAM in five hours at 50?is 60%,at 70?is 45%.And PSHAAM could stably exist more than three months at 100?in 20.0%sodium chloride solution.The results suggest that each property of this precrosslinked gel profile control agent is preferable.
