The main research objects of this article are the deformation of the spindle and the piston plunger of the slanting axial piston pump and their affection to the pump. By analyzing the load system of the spindle, we found that the radial load of the spindle has a great effect on the spindle and the pump. We established the mathematical model of radial load in SIMULINK toolbox of MATLAB, compared and analyzed the effect of the key parameters of the pump to radial load we found that the rated pressure, swash plate angle and diameter of piston has a great effect on the radial load. We finished the static strength analysis of the spindle by using the Finite Element Analysis software ANSYS-Workbench, and we obtained the stress and strain distribution result of the spindle, compared with the result of the theoretical analysis, both results are basically the same, and then we used the strength theory to check the spindle, Strength of the spindle meet the requirements, but its stiffness beyond the scope of allowable, we need to sleet better material or improve structure to increase it. Based on static strength analysis we completed the fatigue analysis of the spindle, obtained the life cycle curve, safety factor, damage and biaxial stress. In order to prevent resonance of the spindle we calculated the natural frequencies and critical speed of the spindle by modal analysis; completion of spindle harmonic analysis, obtained response of the spindle to cyclic loading.We also used ANSYS-Workbench to study the deformation of the axial piston plunger of pump. By completing the thermal deformation, pressure deformation and heat-pressure coupling deformation of the plunger, we calculated the gap size and the sharp of the plunger after deformation. We got the formula of the leakage of the axial piston plunger. According to the formula derived, we calculated the leakage and volumetric efficiency of the plunger and compared it with the case which does not consider the deformation, the leakage had a significant because of the deformation, and the volumetric efficiency was lower.We developed the basis for the design develop and optimize of the spindle of the pump by studying the stress, strain and vibration and of the spindle of the pump in working; Provided a reference for the optimize of the plunger and performance maintenance of the pump by the Finite element analysis and the calculation of the leakage and volumetric efficiency.
