At present,the enterprises for marine diesel engine is still in the manufacturing model of "3D model design + 2D drawings".That has been unable to meet the growing demand for production.the 3D process as the representative of the modern manufacturing technology will be able to a certain extent to improve the efficiency of design and manufacturing.Therefore,this paper aims at constructing the 3D process model of box parts of marine diesel engine rapidly,analyzing the processing characteristics of box parts of marine diesel engine,putting forward the recognition method for the processing characteristics based on rule reasoning and proposing the method of constructing the 3D process model for the box parts of marine diesel engine.The specific research content is as follows:(1)The overall plan is put forward for constructing the 3D process model system for box parts of marine diesel engine.The functional requirements of the system is analyzed and the system functional framework is created.The paper also expounds the key technology used in the system and explains the system work flow and the flow of data of the function modules;(2)This paper analyzes the processing characteristics of the box parts of marine diesel engine,puts forward the method of judging the characteristic of the public boundary,and puts forward the recognition method for processing feature of the box parts of marine diesel engine.(3)This paper analyzes the structure of the process model,gives method of constructing the process model,describe the relationship between the removal volume and the process model and puts forward the method of constructing the removal volume.Based on the research above,the construction system for 3D process model of box parts of marine diesel engine is developed based on the NX platform and the method proposed in this paper is verified by the box parts of marine diesel engine.
