In recent years,with rapid development of national economy,people's living standard and consumption mode have undergone earthshaking changes.People have turned to “one-stop” consumption mode that integrates all functions such as leisure,entertainment and shopping from traditional shopping behaviors.It has boosted explosive development of China's shopping malls.Although shopping malls are sought-after for its satisfaction of the demand for “one-stop” shopping,it's likely to make consumers lost in complicated spaces because of these shopping malls' immense scale and complex functions,thus adversely impacting consumers' shopping experience.Hence,studies on the space guide of shopping malls become all the more important.Under such background,this paper,based on the status quo of public space guide in shopping malls,referred to the theory of post occupancy evaluation(POE)and conducted POE on the public guide function of established shopping malls in Shenzhen from the perspective of consumers.According to the evaluation results,it further analyzed shortcomings in the process of utilizing the public space guide function in shopping malls,fed back to the architectural designs and proposed corresponding suggestions on improvement.In the concrete POE operation process,the to-be-evaluated objects shall be selected first.Three shopping malls of Shenzhen with different people flow designs in them were chosen,respectively Coastal City,Central Walk and King Glory Plaza.Second,an evaluation model shall be set up.The author sorted out and concluded the spatial cognition factor influencing public space guide in shopping malls.On this basis,a POE model was built to evaluate the public space guide function of shopping malls.Third,it's about the application of POE.Through on-site investigation and distribution of structured questionnaires,a comprehensive POE was carried out on three cases and questionnaire results were quantified.Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation results were obtained from related analyses.In the end,improvement suggestions were put forward.Three cases were compared in an all-round way based on evaluation conclusions and furthermore suggestions on optimizing public space guide of shopping malls were provided.
