The beneficial microorganisms for turfgrass growth were isolated from municipal solid waste(MSW)compost. The effects of different compost microbial fermentation filtrates and microbial agents on improving soil quality and turfgrass growth under stress were investigated in this paper.By using clean beanth, inverted microscope and LI-COR 6400 instruments and modern biological technology and methods, the effects of different compost microorganisms on soil enzyme activities, soil nematode diversity, and the seed vigor, protective enzyme activity, plant biomass, photosynthetic characteristics and other physiological and ecological characteristics of turfgrass in the state of normal growth and stress were all studied comprehensively. The results showed that inoculation of different compost microbial agents could significantly improve soil enzyme activities, and the height, biomass and chlorophyll content of turfgrass.Different concentrations of microbial fermentation filtrates could improve turfgrass germination and initial growth. The germination rate and germination index and seed vigor of Festuca arundinacea L.with the diluted 4 times filtrates of actinomycete application were increased by 27.7%,40.1%and 41.7%.The diluted 4 times and 8 times dilution filtrates of Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus thuringiensis also promoted the seed vigor, plant height, aboveground fresh weight, underground dry weight and chlorophyll content of Festuca arundinacea L..Actinomycetes and Bacillus subtilis fermentation filtrates inhibted the total amount of soil nematodes.Filtrates of actinomycetes can inhibit the number of plant-parasitic nematodes and the proportion of plant-parasitic nematodes decreased by 67.78%.The filtrates of Actinomycetes and Bacillus thuringiensis increased nematode diversity index, evenness index, richness index and WI values.Under salt stress conditions, the compost microbial agents enhanced net photosynthetic rate and intercellular carbon dioxide concentration of turfgrass, but decreased CAT,POD,SOD activities,MDA and pro line contents. The aboveground biomass and plant height of turfgrass increased. The results suggested that the compost microbes can improve plant growth under salt stress conditions.
