Increased uric acid level promotes inflammation progression in nonalcoholic fatty liver diseaseObjectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between SUA level and inflammation progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed among 3792 employees of Xixi hospital of Hangzhou and the affiliated hospital of Hangzhou normal university, among them 280 subjects with fibroscan test and 191 subjects with liver biopsy. Results: The prevalence of NAFLD was 38.39%(1456/ 3792).NAFLD patients had significantly higher SUA level than controls(353.4±90.2umol/l vs.295.0±86.3umol/l,P<0.05).There was a positive correlation of SUA with BMI,TG,TC,ALT,AST,GGT,SCr,BUN,LDL-c respectively, whereas SUA and HDL-c was negative correlation.Hyperuricemia was found to be an independent risk factor for NAFLD(OR: 1.903,95% CI: 1.526-2.347;P < 0.05).Higher serium uric acid was found in elevated ALT group with fibroscan test;It has no statistical significant about SUA level between advanced fibrosis group and non-advanced fibrosis.Higher NAS score and Steatosis grade were found in subjects with hyperuricemia, but it was no significant difference about fibrosis stage. Conclusions: Hyperuricemia was an independent risk factor for NAFLD,and increased SUA level in NAFLD associated with the liver inflammation progression. The method to build a model of high serum uric acid with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in ratsObjective:Establish a lasting and stable model of high serum uric acid with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in rats.Methods:90 SPF male SD rats, equally divided into three groups after one week adaptively feeding: normal control group, high fat group and high fat and yeast group. The rat's serum liver enzyme(ALT,AST),blood lipid(TG,TC)and uric acid(UA)were tested every 2 weeks. At 8th week, high fat and yeast group were treated with oxygen oxazine acid potassium milk suspension 100 mg/(kg*d)subcutaneously injection twice while normal control group and high fat group were injected normal saline. We also kept monitoring the biochemical values mentioned above till the 3th?7th?11th week, which followed by the liver pathology examination.Result:Starting from the 3td week, the UA,TC,TG levels in high fat and yeast group were significantly higher than normal control group(P < 0.05).At 7th week, pathological examination shows that fat degeneration in model groups was obvious, and several focal inflammation existed. At 11 th week, high fat and yeast group has higher NAS score and more serious lobule inflammation. Conclusion:High fat and yeast rich feed with adenine gavage and timely given oxygen oxazine acid potassium milk suspension subcutaneously can build long-term stable model of high serum uric acid with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in rats;increased SUA level in NAFLD associated with the liver inflammation progression.
