The Application Of Ecosystem Theory In The Mutual Help Group Of Uremic Patients

The population of uremic patients in our country is increasing,disease not only causes physical pain to the patients,resulting in great economic burden to their families,but also causes heavy psychological pressure to patients and their families,affects the patients’physiological and psychological social system.According to Ecosystem Theory,the environment of personal life is a complete ecosystem,which emphasizes the investigation of human beings in the environment and the interaction between the individual and the environment.In this paper,taking the group of uremic patients in X District Chinese medicine hospital as an example,using Ecosystem Theory,social workers could analyze and understand the uremic patients better,assess the requirements of the patients from the microscopic system(include personal psychology,belief,etc),medium system(include patients’ family,patients’medical staff,etc.)and macro system(include community,social policy system,etc.),and develop appropriate intervention program to assist patients to solve their problems.In this study,social workers construct the patients support platform for intervention,promote the uremic patients’ system of individual,family and social support system,adopting the research method of combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate the effect of uremia patients ’ group work,explored the effect of the socail group work on improving the uremia patients ’ social support which under the guidance of Ecological Theory.The social group work has a significant effect to enhance the social support of patients with uremia because the scores of social support scale of the group members are greatly improved,including subjective support,objective support and utilization of support.The form,the content and the effectiveness of the social group work,have been approvaled and affirmed by the hospital manegers and the service objects.finally the author reflects the social work of uremic patients under the guidance of Ecological Theory,there are some shortcomings because of our limited experience.
