Characteristics Of TCM Syndrome Of Delayed Hypogonadism And Research On Diagnosis And Treatment Of Integrated Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine

Background:Late-onset hypogonadism(LOH)is a kind of clinical syndrome which is closely related to the growth of the age.It is a problem that every middle and old aged man needs to face and pay attention to.LOH can bring bad effects to the system and organ function of the human body,and seriously affect the physical and mental health and quality of life of the elderly.Modern medicine for the treatment of patients with late-onset hypogonadism is testosterone replacement therapy.Testosterone replacement therapy is widely used in clinic.However,Testosterone replacement therapy has many contraindications and poses many risks.Traditional Chinese medicine has a unique advantage in the treatment of LOH,which can effectively avoid the risk of testosterone replacement therapy.Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of LOH is the need of clinical work.Objective:To investigate the characteristics of TCM Syndromes of Late-onset hypogonadism and the treatment of Late-onset hypogonadism with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Methods:Literature research and clinical epidemiological investigation were combined.Through the analysis and research of male science textbooks and Monographs about LOH,at the same time analyse different TCM syndromes appear and reported in the literature on LOH epidemiological data.At the same time,through the questionnaire survey,to grasp the TCM syndrome characteristics of the disease,to provide ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment,It will provide reference for compiling the screening scale for disease.Result:The "heart-kidney imbalance","syndrome of yin deficiency of liver and kidney","deficiency syndrome of both YIN and YANG","syndrome of deficiency of both heart and spleen","Deficiency of kidney yang"are the core of TCM syndrome.of LOH.The"Shudihuang","Bupleurum",and "Angelica" are the three core Chinese medicine for the treatment of LOH.What is more,"tonifying kidney","soothing the liver"and "Enriching blood and activating blood"are the three core principles of hypothyroidism;The "loss of libido","Penile erection in the morning or nocturnal penile erectile spontaneous reduction","erectile dysfunction "are the three core symptoms of LOH;" lack of passion for life"and"reduce of Physical stamina"are the wo key symptoms of LOH;"fatigue,emotional discomfort,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,not feeling well" are the four important symptoms of LOH.Conclusion:The deficiency of the kidney is the first key pathogenesis of LOH;Liver depression is the hinge of late-onset hypogonadism;QI and blood are the key points for treatment.Through analyse the relation between the four syndrome of LOH and their respective organs,we think that we can cure sexual dysfunction syndrome from kidney,cure physical syndrome from the spleen,cure emotional spirit syndrome from the theory of liver,cure vasomotor syndrome from the heart;In addition,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)can combine with testosterone replacement therapy in the treatment of LOH.Integrating sex hormones into TCM syndrome differentiation can improve the accuracy of the treatment.We explored how to apply Targeted therapy-testosterone replacement therapy and holistic treatment-differentiation of symptoms and signs to treat LOH.Combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of LOH can achieve a variety of treatment levels.If the testosterone level has reached the standards of testosterone replacement therapy,Chinese medicine can combine with testosterone replacement therapy as first-line treatment;If testosterone levels did not reach the standard of testosterone replacement therapy,TCM can be used as LOH first-line treatment;If testosterone replacement therapy effect is not obvious or failure,it can be changed to Chinese medicine treatment.TCM can be used in the treatment of LOH at any stage.
