Exploratory Study On The Manifestation Of Meridians In Ulcerative Colitis

Objective:To explore the distribution of ulcerative colitis meridians abnormalities,and better understand the disease from the perspective of meridional meridian acupoint selection and provide a new reference for the treatment.Methods:A total of 81 UC patients were included in the study.The control group was recruited 30 healthy volunteers.The positive points were detected along the meridians in the abdomen and elbow knee joint to wrist ankle joint,whose pain thresholds were measured by tenderness tester.Statistical software was used to compare the differences in meridian diagnosis between the disease group and the control group.Cluster analysis was performed on the positive areas of the disease group,and the differences between the left and right channels of the disease group,thearms,legs and the abdomen were comparedrespectively.Based on cluster analysis and acupoint frequency,the correlation analysis of some specific acupoints and meridianwas carried out.Results:1 Subjects in general 81 UC patients included 49 males and 32 females,aged '16 to 82,46.91%of which focused on 30-49 years old.The length of the disease is from 1 month to 320 months,40.74%of which concentrated in more than 3 years.2 The positive points:The positive regional distribution of the disease group and the control group was compared,The positive rate of the control group was 9.91%,and the positive rate of the disease group was 14.37%.The left and right meridian acupoints of the same name in the two groups(P<0.05),the positive rate of the left and right side of the disease group was 15.41%and 13.26%,respectively,significantly higher than that in the control group.The number of positive regions was 43,which accounted for 41.75%of the positive acupoints of the diagnosis.The positive points higher than 41.75%positive rate were divided into 6 groups by clustering analysis:?Shangjuxu(ST37);?Zusanli(ST36);?Daheng(SP-15))Sanyinjiao(SP6),Fujie(SP14);?Tianshu(ST25);?Zhongdu(LR6)and the other acupoints.The location of positive points between left and right sides was different(P<0.05),but no difference between upper and lower extremity(P>0.05).The meridian on the left side of the abdomen get a higher positive rate of 15.03%than the rate of 6.54%on right meridian(P<0.05).Positive areas were distributed in 13 meridians,mostly in the Spleen meridian,secondly in Stomach meridian,Ren meridian,Coliform meridian and Liver meridian.Accoun-ting the positive points as acupoints by distance,the positive region of the highest rate is Sanyinjiao(SP6).3 Comparison of pain threshold:There were 4 points in the abdomen getting a frequency at more than 20 times,including Tianshu(ST25),Fujie(SP14),Daheng(SP15)and Shenque.Pairwise comparisons showed that:?On the left meridian,the pain threshold of Shenque(CV8)was lower thanTianshu(ST25),Fujie(SP14)and Daheng(SP15)(P<0.05),and Daheng(SP15)was lower than Tianshu(ST25)(P<0.05).Although there are differences,Fujie(SP14)and Tianshu(ST25),Fujie(SP14)and Daheng(SP15)(P>0.05).?On the right meridian,the pain threshold of Shenque(CV8)was lower than Tianshu(ST25),Daheng(SP15)and Fujie(SP14)(P<0.05),and Tianshu(ST25)was lower than Fujie(SP14)(P<0.05).The threshold of Tianshu(ST25)and Daheng(SP15),Fujie(SP14)and Daheng(SP15)(P>0.05).There were 3 points in upper limb getting a frequency at more than 20 times,including Kongzui(LU6),Wenliu(LI7)and Shousanli(LI10).Pairwise comparisons showed that:?on the left meridian,the pain threshold of Wenliu(LI7)>Shousanli(LI10)was lower than Kong Zui(LU6)(P>0.05),and Shousanli(LI 10)was lower than Wenliu(LI7)(P>0.05).?On the right meridian,the pain threshold of Wenliu(LI7)was lower than Kongzui(LU6)and Shousanli(L110)(P>0.05),Kongzui(LU6)lower than Shousanli(LI10)(P>0.05).The positive acupoints on legs,whose frequency at more than 20 times,included the Zusanli(ST36),Shangjuxu(ST37),Sanyinjiao(SP6),Lougu(SP7),DiJi(SP8),Yinlingquan(SP9),Chengshan(BL57),Fuliu(KI7),Ligou(LR5)and Zhongdu(LR6).Pairwise comparisons showed that:(?On the left meridian,the pain threshold of Zhongdu(LR6)was lower than Diji(SP8),Yinlingquan(SP9),Chengshan(BL57),Fuliu(KI7)(P<0.05),Ligou(LR5),Sanyinjiao(SP6),Sha-ngjuxu(ST37),Zusanli(ST36)was lower than Yinlingquan(SP9),Chengshan(BL57),Fuliu(K17)(P<0.05).There is no statistical difference among the other acupoints.?The pain threshold of the right meridian,Shangjuxu(ST37)lower than Yinlingquan(SP9),Chengshan(BL57)andFuliu(KI7)(P<0.05),Sanyinjiao(SP6)lower than Yinlingquan(SP9)and Fuliu(K-17)(P<0.05),Zusanli(ST36)lower than Yinlingquan(SP9)(P<0.05).There is no statistical difference among the other acupoints.4 Correlationanalysis:?The left Fujie(SP14)is related to the right Fujie(SP14)(P<0.05),and theleft Fujie(SP14)is negatively correlated with both Shangjuxu(ST37)(P<0.05).The Sanyinjiao(SP6).Diji(SP8).Zusanli(ST36)and Shangjuxu(ST37)are related to the respective acupoints of the same name(p<0.05).?Meridional correlation analysis showed that the specific meridians of ulcerative colitis werespleen,lung,liverand large intestine meridians,which are closely related to each other.Conclusion:?According to the cluster analysis and the pain-threshold,acupoints closely associated with UC were Zusanli(ST36),.Shangjuxu(ST37),Daheng(SP15),Fujie(SP14),Tianshu(ST25)andSanyinjiao(SP6).ZAccording to the meridians of correlation analysis and positive acupoints,the Spleen meridian,Large intestine meridian,Lung meridian,Liver meridianand kidney meridian are closely related to UC.?Positive regions of US existed not only on the acupoints but also the surrounding area along the meridian in the lower extremity and the abdomen.?Based on the correlation analysis between the left and right meridian and correlation analysis,UC obviously affects bilateral meridians on the upper and lower extremities,and the left meridian on the abdomen.The meridians and collaterals of UC had certain regularity,worthy of further investigation.
