Research And Exploration On The Two-dimensional Spatial Representation Of Chinese Meticulous Figure Painting

Chinese meticulous figure painting has the longest history among all painting styles in China. It's also the earliest and the broadest in the application of two-dimensional space compared with other painting styles. It expresses the unique way of thinking and the sole viewing angle of the Chinese. By the introduction of basic elements such as composition, modeling and color selection etc. during the creation of Chinese meticulous figure painting, this article studies and analyzes the skillful application of two-dimensional space in the paintings. At the same time during my heritage of traditional formal features, I apply the theory of two-dimensional space into every aspect of my creation so as to assist my practice and exploration. And this leads to a way of innovation for contemporary meticulous figure painting by my approaches, which will make the creation of meticulous painting receive a new life.
