With the rapid development of economic globalization and reform and opening up of China,international exchanges become much more frequent. An increasing number of people pay attention to the western economic management and are eager to understand the methods of management of Western enterprises. Therefore, the English-Chinese translation of management books can satisfy the need of domestic readers, improve the management skills and promote the development of enterprises.This is a translation report based on the book 60-Minute CEO: Mastering Leadership an Hour at a Time, written by Dick Cross, an America well-known CEO. The author translates the first to the ninth chapters, and focuses on the translation methods of metaphors and idioms under the guidance of relevance theory.This report firstly describes the task, including the source text and the analysis of the text.Then it explains the task process, including preparation before translation, translation stage and the quality control stage. The main part of the report includes the theoretical basis and the analysis of examples. According to relevance theory, translation is a communicative activity. The translator should understand the author's communicative intention from the original text, and then transmit information to the target readers in the target language. In view of metaphors in the text, the author mainly adopts literal translation, free translation and method of simile. In view of idioms in the text, the author mainly uses literal translation and free translation. The last part is the summary and reflections of the translation.
