60-Minute CEO: Mastering Leadership An Hour At A Time (excerpt) Translation Practice Report

The main part of the report includes the theoretical basis and the analysis of examples. According to relevance theory, translation is a communicative activity. The translator should understand the author's communicative intention from the original text, and then transmit information to the target readers in the target language. In view of metaphors in the text, the author mainly adopts literal translation, free translation and method of simile. In view of idioms in the text, the author mainly uses literal translation and free translation. The last part is the summary and reflections of the translation.
