Guo Yu's Essays On Prose Studies

Guo Pu is a famous scholar in the Jin Dynasty.He commandes profound knowledge of literature,exegesis,astronomy, mathematics,confucian,classics, calendarcalculation, gazetteer,phonology and so on.He was good atcreating verses and Fu. His literary works are rich in quantity, but also involve a wide range. Guo Pu has ten chapters of Fu which are still cherished today. Given his great achievements, Guo Pu is listed as one of the most famous writers in the Jin Dynasty,just like Lu Ji,Pan Yue,in the masterpieces Wen Xin Diao Long.He has more than a dozen essays,In addition to poems and Jiang Fu, his others also worth researching.Though the Feudal rulers of the Jin Dynasty do not pay attention to literature development,there are still many literary giants in this period. Guo Pu is a aloof, poetic, rhapsodical person.Jin Dynasty is full of unrest and reformation,including the upheaval of the Eight Princes, fifth century invasion of China by northern nomads, Yongjia Nandu, the Northernexpedition and many other historical events.Guo Pu lives in a time of transformation, so in his works,they often contains a wealth of historical information. Metaphysics is the trend thought in the Jin Dynasty,so his works also show the rich connotation of thought.The combination of these background has important significance on Guo Pu's Fu prose study.This paper focus on studying the content, characteristics, and the influence of Guo Pu' works, hoping to graso the literary achievements and status of Guo Pu in the history of Chinese literature.In the introduction part,we introduced Guo Pu's life and works,trying to have a basic grasp of him and his works.The opening chapter gives a brief historical overview of Guo Pu'Fu,his Fu have obvious stage characteristics,so we divide them into two parts.In the second chapter, we explored Jiang Fu,it was a great article,it describes the beautiful scenery of the Yangtze river,showing Guo Pu' patriotic enthusiasm.And it has distinct characteristics with the other Fu in the Jin Dynasty.In the third chapter, we discussed the overall achievement of Guo Pu's Fu.He describes the landscape of his hometown Wen Xi and the chasing of fostering achievement.We analyses his Fu' artistic creation in three aspects.In the fourth chapter,we investigate his prose,they are excellent and include many aspects and spirited characteristic.He is good at writing political essays and literary essays.In his political essays,he gives many suggestions to the Feudal rulers in the Jin Dynasty.In his literary essays,he expresses his literary views on the development of literature, it shows his extraordinary talent.In the fifth chapter,we discusses the achievements of Guo Pu' prose works.He developes the theme with fertility and power in his works,his essays are well- knit,they include various expression and special linguistic art.In the conclusion part,we summarize the literature achievements of Guo Pu, In the history of literature,he has a huge impact on the development of literature.In the history of humanity, he also has great pedigree and character.
