Research On The Characteristics Of Sina Weibo Language From The Perspective Of Register Theory

The celebrity's microblog language we studied in this paper is a natural language used in Sina microblog virtual community with its own characteristics, including Chinese characters, foreign languages, digit symbols, Pinyins, letters as well as other symbols. The paper was supported by rich data sources, through the quantitative analysis method and the qualitative analysis method, together with empirical analysis and logic deduction. The data used in this paper is from sina microblog. We explored the common characteristics of celebrity's microblog language with the theory of register, and attempt to probe into register deviation from the viewpoints of register borrowing, register mixing and register switching.Register theory was adopted to analyze the impact on celebrity's microblog language in relations to register variables and register in theoretical depth.
