Semantic Analysis Of Time Concept Words In Master And Margaret

The tradition of studying temporal category has a deep root in linguistic study in Russia. Early back to 17 th century, this issue has attracted the attention of Russian linguists. In the initial stage, linguists focused on the temporal form of the verb.In 18-th and 19-th century the linguists approached the problem of temporary formfrom different points of view.The linguists agreed that Russian verbs have five temporary forms until the 20 th century.With the development of linguistics, the studing field of temporal categories is expanded.The linguists began to study this issue not only from fiction but also from semantic aspects.Creative idea of the author of this thesis is the semantic analysis of temporal categories on the basis of the artwork.M. A. Bulgakov is an outstanding Russian writer in the 20 th century, he made a great contribution to the development of Russian fiction.This thesis analyzes temporal category, based on the novel "Master and Margarita" by M.A.Bulgakov. There are a lot of temporal lexemes in "Master and Margarita", which are designed a single-spatial relation with three plans: realistic, mystical, and biblical. Analysis and study of temporal lexemes and phraseology used by Bulgakov enable us more vividly to learn the differences of the three plans and the space-time continuum.Although scientists have done a lot of research on literary works, analysis of temporal lexemes of artwork from a linguistic aspect remains largely not well elaborating.This dissertation analyzes the temporal lexemes and phraseologies in "the Master and Margarita" from the semantic aspect, the assignment consists :firstly,how to design temporal category with temporal lexemes and phrases and how to understand these words and phrases with a narrow and wide side;secondly, making classification of temporal lexical and features of lexical temporality in the novel "the Master and Margarita" of M.
