Space is the basic form of the existence of all matter, and there is no object that is outside the space. As a kind of existence, human beings also carry out various life activities in various spaces. Therefore, people begin to know, understand and study space from a very early age.People's cognition of space starts from themselves, and they construct the space of human activities as the background and environment centering on themselves. In this process, human beings constantly know the world, the world picture is constantly formed, and the concept of space is gradually established. On the contrary, the human experience of space has also become the basis for building the world, and it has influenced other concepts in a metaphorical way. This kind of experience is naturally reflected in the language, and the corresponding spatial words appear.Cognitive linguists have suggested that the concept of space is the basis of other concepts, and the problem of space in Russian has always been the focus of scholars. It is of great significance to study spatial words in the framework of linguistics. The Master and Margaret is known as one of the representative works of magic realism in the 20th century. The structure of the work is very characteristic, which depicts the events in three levels of reality, mythology and history. It is called "fiction in the novel." The flexible transformation of the narrative time and space of the three layers in the novel benefits from the author's excellent ability of using words. This paper will take The Master and Margaret as the text to conduct semantic analysis on words with spatial meaning, which play an important role in the construction of narrative space.Firstly, the paper divides the spatially meaningful words of different characters and scenes into external spatial semantic categories and internal spatial semantic categories according to their semantic features. The external spatial semantic category is divided into spatial orientation semantic category, spatial shape semantic category and spatial position semantic category according to the transformation of the main character's activity scene;the internal spatial semantic category is divided into physiological spatial semantic category and psychological spatial semantic category according to the psychological activities of the main characters of the work. Then explore the role of spatial words in each semantic category in constructing three layers of narrative space and highlighting the characteristics of different spatial levels. Finally, the semantic function of the words with spatial significance in shaping the characters of"Master" and "Pilate" is analyzed.
