On The Importance Of Dance Rhythm In Performance

Rhythm, as one of the three elements of the dance, occupies an important position in the field of dance. It controls the action of relaxation amplitude, the velocity of the flow, and the restriction of action given by the beat of the music. And dance as a performing art, as one of the most direct, the most real, the most powerful and adequate performance, it must be integrated with the rhythm in the performance, generates rhythm and emotion. Therefore, the final presentation of each work, cannot be separated from the constraints and impact of rhythm. In other words, Rhythm plays a mainstay role in dance performances. It runs through the whole process of dance works and also penetrates all aspects of the performance of the dance. This paper is a case study of a dance work named "window". In the process of creating the work, to explore what effect rhythm plays in the whole works through performance, and give a further research on the relationship between rhythm and performance.
